Spinacorona fountain (aka “delle zizze” …”of the tits” ) in Naples, takes its name from the church of Santa Caterina della Spina Corona, which stands right by it.
It was commissioned by don Pedro Álvarez de Toledo 16th century.
It shows Parthenope, protector of Naples as she douses the flames of Mt.Vesuvius with the water springing from her breasts (all explained on a plaque at its feet saying Dum Vesevi Syrena Incendia Mulcet).
